Neither one of these armor nerfs where needed. We have lived with the wars armor for over a year and still no problems killing a war.

The mes armor is laughable since they have FC that works against this armor buff. If you come under fire you would have cancelled that spell and started kiting anyways.

Both of those nerfs were total bs.
Runes were untouched as far as global/local is concerned.

lol lucky that FoW spiders are physical then :P

This armor nerf is stupid...I don't understand why they did it. Fair enough shields being changed to physical (as lame as it is), because when you picture Knights fighting, they block sword blows with their shields... but it's a bit extreme an update

Untouched means they works as they did pre update. That is not the case.

Not my fault you don't make your meaning clear.

Anyways.

They just made BA the meta game and is going to dominate HA. At 12 mark you get a 17 duration dazed. Now add the Silencing string for another 6 seconds. Fevered Dreams + BA and apply poison. Put in needling shot to make sure they never get any spell off. Add in a Sin to the mix and its going to be condition overload. Don't go anywhere without your martyr now.

AoE smiters had it last from 6 to 8 seconds, depending on the build. Now they'll need a bit more points in prot. And 1 energy min is actually a decent-sized nerf considering you never stop casting stuff.

Anyway, HUGE thumbs down to anet for not nerfing OoA. I don't think I've ever been that disappointed in them. Kinda expected it, since anet loves IWAY, but still... until today I had some faith in them.

I guess yay for 50 changes nobody gives a flying RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO about.

The update should read 2-5 seconds. 5 secs is the max I can get now.

QFT.

I don't understand why they didn't disassociate IWAY from pets in the first place anyway.

No Ritual Lord nerf? (And no Ritualists nerfs at all?)

I'm surprised.

This does nothing really. You gain more than 1 energy per second. 1/4 cast 3/4 after cast = 1 second before you can cast another skill.

1 minimal energy is still free.

Only thing this does is slow down your energy regen. As before you regen would be working all the time. Now they can slow down their casting for a few seconds if need be and gain some energy and just keep AoE up for 1 energy.

The nerf did stop people from maintaining it on 2 different targets at all times per monk.

I was just pondering about the dmg reduction nerf, and pictured this update:

Game Update 14/7

Minor, Major and Superior Reduction Runes added to the Rune Trader. Reduction runes reduce Elemental damage by -1, -2 and -3 respectively.

This is simply stupid to nerf the rockmolder... Then they'll need to fix those 15%always with no neg weapon... And change all those HoD item to new one ect... There was no need to kill an item that had a value of 70-80k...

And yet trapper's focus still sucks....

why the hell did they wait this long to do that
They only recently discovered that they could update items that people already aquired - the green item updates are probably when they did the work to sort this out.

My Rockmolder was for sentimental value, not for sale, sine it was a gift, so I'm mad about that. I'm still keeping it because of personal meaning.

Sign me up for a Tanzit's shield. Since shield absorption is now useless, I'm all game for blind reduction. Ugh, can we get the 50% Lt. Helms back? What's with the sudden rash of warrior hate anyway?

I'm sorry but this update stinks. Things that weren't broken got fixed, and a lot of more pressing issues have not been seen to.

Damage reduction only for physical
Cant i block a giant ball of fire with my trusty shield?

Now Ascalon and Knights are prettymuch useless since they also only block physical(yup your beter off with plate or glads).

The Rockmolder realy a shame that had to be done.

Skill updates hmmmm...well...we will probibly find ways to get arround some disadvantages.

The damage reduction vs physical only is my biggest complaint.

Relevant changes:

Mes/Ele Air Guys get their energy hammered.
Smiters have a lot less free energy.
Rangers lose Blackout.
SB/RI is easier to heal through but is effectively untouched.

Peace,
-CxE
